Strategic & Systems Thinking in Medical Education

Leadership in Medical Education is a four-part series designed for medical educators at all career stages who are seeking to strengthen their leadership capabilities and impact. Through interactive discussions and practical frameworks, participants will explore foundational leadership principles, build essential skills for effective teamwork and communication, apply strategic and systems thinking to advance educational programs, and clarify pathways for leadership growth and promotion. Together, these sessions offer a cohesive approach to developing the mindset, skillset, and strategies needed to lead and advance medical education.

Third session: Strategic & Systems Thinking in Medical Education

Objectives: By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
1. Explain the role of strategic and systems thinking in advancing medical education initiatives.
2. Analyze educational programs using a systems-based perspective.
3. Identify strategic opportunities to improve, scale, or sustain educational efforts.
